History

In 1939 and Rie and Martien van der Valk started up a restaurant in Voorschoten. With hard work and a warm welcome, their homely approach became a success.

Largest hospitality group
In the years after the Second World War they built with their 11 children, a number of restaurants. Meanwhile, the company has expanded their grandchildren and great-grandchildren to the largest catering company in the Netherlands with 56 branches and another 25 hotels in countries around the world.

Hospitality
The vision of Rie and Martien abour hospitality is still the basis of the successful "Van der Valk formula". Their attitude and entrepreneurial spirit is an example to younger generations, "Van der Valk".
